Owner's Manual Holder?

I know this is being anal but....

I really liked the owner's manual holder that came with my previous car, a 99 VW Passat. Basically, it was a place to put all of your car papers, including the owner's manual, registration card, insurance card, etc. in a nice clear pouch/holder thing, and it came with the car. A nice additional touch that I appreciated.

When I got rid of my Passat (phew!) and bought my TSX, they put those papers in an ugly brown envelope. WTF? Does anybody have any nice owner's manual holders that they purchased? Got any links to share?

You used to be able to get the OEM one, that should've come with your car, from www.helminc.com. Just looked and didn't see it there so you may want to call them.

I got a holder that's made out of leather when I bought the car. It has all the manuals that came with the car + places to put name cards + extra slits and a zipper that encloses everything. Go back to the dealer and ask for one. It has ACURA imprinted on the surface so I'm assuming everyone gets one.

Thanks for the replies, when I go back to the dealer for my next oil change, I will talk to my salesperson. Has anybody else bought their Acura from Mike Harvey Acura in Burlingame, CA? If so, did you get a leather owner's manual holder?

Yeah, pretty stupid, huh? Oh well. Even with the rattles, I'm still more happy than not with the TSX.

You mean a place to store your leather manual holder? or the holder itself? Kinda odd that you didn't get the leather case.
I didn't get a pen! wtf! But i got a nifty fancy shmancy Acura keychain.

I meant the leather holder itself. I did find it odd when they handed over a brown envelope to me, but I didn't say anything for some reason which I can't explain right now.

Well, I called the dealer, and found my salesperson hasn't been working there for the past 6 months, meaning he joined the dealership, and worked there for a few months, and then quit or was fired. Nice.

However, another salesperson said just come on by and they'll give me one. How generous of them. (sarcasm)

Well I'm thankful for these forums and all of you guys, otherwise, I might not have known this or many other things I've asked about!

Just a heads up. That sarcasm may not work in your favor at the dealership.

When I snagged my leather cover on the glovebox latch my dealer was nice enough to replace it for free.

I'm not sure how much the holder is worth at Helm when they had it but I'm sure it wasn't free.

I have 2 pens, 1 keychain holder. :P

I just came back from the dealer - I've got my holder now. The sarcasm was coming from the fact that they should have given it to me in the first place, instead of having me drive back there on my own time & money (gas isn't cheap nowadays) to pick it up after the fact. And they NEVER told me that this is something I should be getting, I found that out on my own. Oh well, I didn't make a scene or anything - I just know that I won't shop at Mike Harvey Acura again. Hopkins Acura in Redwood City will probably get my next car sale, if it's an Acura.
