Owned it less than 48hrs and it got keyed
Well the honeymoon is over! I had my TSX for less than 48hrs and it got scratched in the Denny's parking lot. I don't know if it was an accident or just some hater scratching it out of jealousy, but non the less it is scratched.
Anyone know of any good polish or wax that I can use to fill the scratch? It only broke through the clear ccoat, so I may be able to fill it. Thank god it didn't go down to the metal.
Let me know!

Sorry (double post)
The scratch was deffinately not there when I picked up the car. That scratch would have been worth a good $700+ at the dealership. It might have been an accident, but I doubt it. It is pretty deep and had to have some pretty good pressure applied to get it. I will try to buff it out. Thank goodness its on the passenger dorr so I don't have to see it every time I get in the car.
I wil try miguirs and see how it works

If you can't see metal then there is a good chance that you can buff it out or at least lighten it. If the above advice doesn't work, try some Meguiars rubbing compound (www.meguiars.com) and that should do the trick. Hope it works. Bastards with keys......

Take it in...
That sucks, Same thing happened to me, my friend scuffed my clearcoat on the trunk with his golf bag. I took it into the dealer for my 5,000 mile check-up and asked them to buff it out and the scratches were gone and the trunk looked good as new. As Long as it only affected the clear-coat you should be fine with anything. I would reccomend asking your dealer for any products or help in taking the scratch off.

Keying a car is worse than treason. Almost. Sorry to hear it happened to you.
My TSX got sideswiped by a shopping cart at a Target parking lot. I could feel the groove in the paintjob, but I took it to a detailer and he buffed it to the point where I can't see the scratch at all. That said, I haven't looked at the area with a magnifying glass or anything, and I don't know what distinguishes a "good" detailer from a bad one. This one cost $100 and it included buffing all the minor scratches out as well as a wash and wax.
For what that's worth...
