Overweight problem

I have 2 friends both of whom weigh over 300lbs each. They don't understand why I won't let them ride in my front seat. I've seen what their couches & sofas look like over time. I can't let that happen to my car.

I want to hang with them but I want to keep my car in tip top shape for as long as possible.

How would you handle it? They know how I feel but how do we still work things out when it comes to riding in my car. They hate being "chauffeured" around...it does look a bit weird.

Either they lose weight or drive themselves. Seems like you're too nice of a guy.

That is the most interesting problem I have heard yet! How often do you let them ride in the car? Their couches might be that way over time. Im assuming they got that way since they are couch potatos?

I hang with them a few times a month and not always riding around in my car. They're my buddies but they're big boys. Couch potato is an understatement.

I worry about the seats, the suspension, the tires...everything. So none of you have large folks who want to get into your cars???

I don't keep fat friends. only beautiful people. j/k but luckily none of my friends are fat and rarely need to get a ride.

Let em ride in the front once in awhile, it ain't gonna kill your car. To me, its a bit more uncomfortable to point out that my friend is fat, and have them both sit in the back.

This is eerily remniscent of a civil rights event, involving a certain african-american lady named Rosa Parks, who was sent to the back of a bus for being black. Fat friends...to the back of the TSX!

I'm 6'3" and 250 pounds....does that mean I'm going to have to change out my seats every other month?

Wow, going to lunch with someone that weighs more than you is not going to hurt your car. It's a freakin car not an egg. The foam will bounce back. I promise the leather will not be stretched to some unreturnable disgusting shape. The perforation holes will not look like they're waiting for a golfball to drop in.

And no, I'm not fat. 5'10" & 172lbs. I don't think I've heard this "dillema" before... geez

That reminds me, my friend is around 280 and 6'4". The first time he sat in the NSX (lowered by a few inches), we had to airlift him out of the car... Seriously, the dude wouldn't be able to get out of the car himself.

Make them run along side and in a few months, you won't have this problem.

he shouldnt have been in a nsx.
an nsx is really tight inside already. someone whos a little over 6 feet can barely fit in it.
