I am really curious about his over-revving mis-shift and the engine reliability that he is still enjoying Just like to hear a confirmation from him
Yup, I was with my in-laws for the week-end. We're building a swimming pool in the backyard. We've done the concrete jobs this weekend. Will be over soon!

Ok, back to topic: Yes, I have over-revved it, and the engine is still running as strong, as efficiently and as smoothly. Like Jtso, I've done a compression test, and the numbers were excellent too. Never had any issues with the dealer either.

i know that mis-shifting can be bad for the engine if you moneyshift, but what about the tranny? does mis-shifting abuse the tranny alot?

My old prelude didn't even have a rev limiter... so I managed to over rev it a bit when doing some good ol' fun burnouts.

Haven't done it on my TSX, but as a mechanical engineer, I can tell you that I agree with what you guys are saying. The engine can run at a higher RPM without damage, just - for not that long.

When Honda validated the F20 (s2k), it ran for over a week straight with 1/2 oil at 500 rpm over redline before the engine stopped functioning... I would expect the K-series to do the same if not better.
