OKAY, DECIDED ON OEM KIT, but will my girlfriend notice?

Wassup guys. I am in a little delemia. I live with my girlfriend. I finally decided to get the OEM Kit. However, If my girlfriend ever found out I spend a grand on a my kit she would be pretty pist since I told her I was a little short on money. (She wanted to go to vegas for valentines. ) Anyways, my question is..
DO YOU THINK SHE WILL NOTICE a difference in the car? I mean, the OEM kit is very subtle and she's really not into cars.
WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK?

I think she would notice. I think you should say your parents for someone got for you. That's a pretty big thing to hide.

Say that someone gave it to you in exchange for helping them with computers/yardwork/moving. Something good like that. You gotta make it sound like the bodykit is not worth very much money and you some how worked out a deal4 to get it.

ie: It was a used bodykit worth like $250 bucks....You helped the dude out with fixing some of his computers and he said you can just give him $100 for it later.

I concur.

She will absolutely notice the body kit, but unless she knows a lot about cars she will have no idea how much it cost. $200 sounds like it could be about right, say it's used. It was a "one time deal" too. Good luck man. OEM kit rocks.

Oh and remember... it's not a lie if you believe it's true.

Either grow a set of nuts (as mentioned above) and tell her you're gonna get it, or don't even bother. Chances are she will notice. If its your money then why is this even an issue? Are you married?

A) theres 2 things a man never tell his woman:

1. his relationship with his other girl friend

2. what he buys for his car

and if she ask

refer back to A)

if she notices, tell her it makes the car more aerodynamic and increases fuel efficiency.

It's stock. One of these days if all the planets line up just right I might get an A-Spec suspension, so let me know how you pulled yours off cause I might want to use the same trick.

That's true too. Even with the best advice you're pretty much guaranteed to be busted.

But hey. At least you'll have the OEM kit!

Yes, that's perfect. Say that people have posted on this forum that they get at least 1-2 mpg with the OEM kit. Who wants to start the fake thread?

she will notice. If she doesn't say anything you know that when you see someone who does know something about cars will eventually say something about it infront of her and then you will be screwed. It will be even worse than just getting the kit cause then you also kept it from her which is what she will probably be more pissed off at.

It's figurative speech. I could car less about your the lil beanbag between your legs. But seriously dude, what's the worst that is gonna happen if your girlfriend finds out? Is she gonna make you take it off? She isn't even your wife and she's already controling where you spend your own hard earned money? Please dude...

Oh and don't take things so seriously, lighten up. Welcome to the internet

Forget what some of these immature goobs are saying --- don't lie to your girlfriend. Tell her the truth if she notices and forget about it if she doesn't. But I agree that your problems go farther than a body kit. If she tries to control your money and you aren't even married, then maybe you need to break up or something. Otherwise, tell her the friggin TRUTH. Any relationship where there is dishonesty isn't worth crap. Well, move over Dr. Ruth your thinking, but that is my
