Oil Question

Hey all,

I just checked my oil level and it is under what it should be. I'm going to get an oil change next week...but would like to add some before that point.

What type oil needs to be added? Are there any compatibility issues with what is already in there when mixing?

If you are going to change it next week, Don't worry about it.

I agree. Don't mess with it. Also, just let them change it with Honda oil. Even the techs in the shop will agree that Mobil 1 is good stuff, but Honda oil is best for your Honda engine.

What exactly is "Honda Oil"???
I know for a fact that a bunch of Honda/Acura use Castrol motor oil.

The only "Honda fluids" I know about are the various lubes, tranny oil, even brake fluid, but I have never seen or heard of Honda engine oil.

I work at a Honda motorcycle dealer and the Honda oil we get says Castrol Canada on the pallets. As far as I know the car oils come from the same place.

Maybe it is different in California. I know because I been through over 6 motors in my old civic. First 2 years when my car was stock they use Kendal Oil, Then when I started to race the civic, I used Redline.
