I'm at 3100 miles and I'm too lazy to look in my manual for instructions. Here's the deal. Do I need to oil change at 3000? I'm assuming if I did I need to replace the filter as well. And the other problem is that there is no Acura Dealership near me, closest one is like 200 miles away. Do I need the oilchange at an acura dealership or can I just go to a honda? And how much will this run me. Thanks in advance.

 

Get your oil change at 5k maybe. The manual says 10k but 5 or 6k might be better. And yes, you have to change your filter and crush washer. If you can't do it yourself, you can have it done anywhere. I personally don't trust anyone so I do it myself.

 

6k is what Honda recomend. Due to the addictive that Honda puts in there, do not change the original oil out before that.

 

Depends how you drive. My TSX is on the 5K diet, but it also already has 17K since July 29th, '03.

 

Anything uner 10K miles or a year will be fine.
