I think that alot of females are attracted to the car because they are less concerned with straighline raw power (which many guys feel the tsx lacks) and are more concerned with a nice looking interior.
(Most of the TSX's I've seen have been driven by women).

I think most of the TSX drivers I've seen locally have been female mid-40s professional looking types. I was in Vancouver, BC a couple weekends ago and saw 3 TSX's there, all Pearl White, and driven by mid-20's Asian males. I think that's more of a Vancouver demographic, not a TSX one.
Personally, I don't really care if the TSX does have or acquires a "chick car" image. I like the car and that matters more.

Ive only seen acouple around here since ive started paying attention more. They are all driven by young males. I think since its a family type sedan, more women would prolly drive it. But i wouldnt call it a chick car like i would an eclipse, cougar, etc.

I hate all this "chick car" crap. I had a Miata and had to hear about that stigma all the time. If women choose a quality car, great! More to talk about over dinner and drinks. I just hate the implication that someone driving what has been stigmatized as a "chick car" should be behind the wheel of an X-Terra or a Mustang 5.0.
If by "chick car" people mean that a car is just good for shopping and parking in front of a Barbie Dream House, they should consider that some of these cars (like the Miata, for example) have phenomenal handling characteristics and can be balls-to-the-wall for any testostone-laden male, as well as any estrogen-laden female, to drive flat out.
Why is it that tasteful is often so authomatically equated with "female"?
BTW, my wife drives our TSX more than me...

Does she want a a TL-P or a TL-S? Those are different cars, you know.
(Sorry, I just couldn't get myself to stay on the sidelines in that discussion).

Is anyone implying anything derogatory that apparently females also like the TSX? Otherwise, could that possibly be a...oh, I don't know...perhaps, a threat to one's maleness?
The important thing is what YOU like and not that x% of TSX drivers are of one gender or the other.
Honesty in who you are and what you like is more important than worrying about gender lines that don't have to exist or be an issue. I don't care what the gender breakdown of TSX purchasers may be.
We've seen parallel discussion threads on age. Many of the same issues for age applies to gender.
What's next? Concern about the appeal of pimp lights for certain population groups or professions?
Enjoy and be happy with your TSX. Isn't that really more important and material?

There was one review, early on, that said the TSX was targeted mainly at women. I think it even gave a percentage that Acura was supposedly projecting, maybe something like 60% or 70%. It was garbage, but some people have seen TSX being driven mainly by females, and I can understand that it would make guys wonder, and worry at least a little.
My "line of concern"? I don't know, but it would have to be higher than 60 or 70% before I'd start worrying. If I found out that the number really was 70%, I'd shake my head over it, and laugh...... and organize a meet as soon as possible.
(Just kidding, honey.)

Yes, but..... you can't totally blame people for having some concern about this. Suppose the breakdown were 99% female and 1% male. You probably wouldn't switch cars, but you wouldn't like it too much, would you? I know I wouldn't. So, isn't it just a question of where that "line" is, that line of concern? Probably different lines for different people, but I doubt there's any male TSX owner who wouldn't have some "line of concern" on it.

Target is one thing. That's the group that the marketing department hopes will be attracted to the car. The group that actually buys the car may be completely different. Maybe what we need is to find out is what percentage of TSX buyers are geezers. How many TSX buyers carry A.A.R.P. cards? Those HID headlights sure must be helpful for those with failing eyesight, the navigation system for drivers who are starting to get lost driving down to the convenience store!

I know a girl that wants a TSX. SHe reminds me of a girl I know with a 323 BMW. " It's an Acura and it's only 25k". Just like the chic that bought the BMW "It's a BMW and only 30k".
Both know nothing about the cars capabilities or really anything about the car, just that it is not a Honda or VW.
And to my memory, the TSX is advertised in chic magazines as well as Car and Driver etc. Like House BEautiful, Home etc.

ye...so far I have seen....six TSX in my area(Santa Barbara)
Silver(Female),Silver(Female),Red(Female, just saw one yesterday at UCSB parking lot), Blue with huge!! spoiler!!I'm sure that thing can fly(Male), White(Male), Black(Mine=Male) so...50/50
Today I parked next to new Saab 92 black, and Audi A4 in black...here's my thoughts...about these cars compare to our TSX
TSX: Looks good In & Out, very styling, Top of the line interior
Saab: Looks good out but inside...what the hell is this guy driving!? freaking airplane!?
Audi A4: very nice...but why half of the body is painted in different color? Is this car floats in water or something?
Overall : Oh man!! Thank GOD!! I got TSX over all those "Just overpriced for no reasons" cars. You all should be proud to have TSX.

Seen one old couple in a TSX so far, and one girl (at a gas station). Rest have been 20-something males. A lot of the time, though, I've been unable to see the driver.
Edit: BTW, before I picked up mine, I met a female friend of a friend. She drives a TSX.
