New TSX Owner
Just wanted to introduce myself as the proud new owner of a Certified Preowned 2004 TSX. Silver on black with 20100 miles on it. The car was previously in a small accident that resulted in a 4 x 1 inch vertical scuff on the front right bumper. Got it for $20,000 at Rallye Acura in Long Island and the dealer agreed to pay to spray the scratch.
I also hope you guys can offer some suggestions for the following:
1. Lojack or no? Is the TSX engine immoblizer pretty good? Is there a big demand for TSX parts on the black market?
2. What are my best options for playing mp3s (either on CD or through Ipod)
3. Any other advice on owning this great car would be appreciated =)

hey welcome to AZ
i would suggest getting the lojack as there is a demand for parts from our cars... (acura=glorified honda)
and playing mp3s thgough the ipod is easier as our stock stereo cannot play mp3 files

Congrats on the deal! I'm sure you'll enjoy your TSX!
On a 2004, you will either need to use an FM transmitter (so-so sound quality), or invest in a hard-wire system, such as USASpec. if you do a search on USASpec on this site, you'll find a number of useful discussion on those types of systems.

Welcome to AZ!! I also own an 04. Simply love this car. Follow the maintenance and this car will be your friend for a loooooong time. Congrats on the purchase......

Welcome aboard. You made a good color choice. I got my 04 certified used silver/black with navi last month. I got the extended warranty for $900 and that was it. They offered the lojack too but i didn't think it was necessary for me.
The only advice i have for you is.....buy parts for your ride and set yourself apart from other TSXes on the road.

Haha thanks everyone. I'm still giddy from the purchase.
However, I am going back to school and I will be dirt poor... this was, in a way, my last hurrah. Will adding things like tint and body kits lower the trade in value for the car? I know personally I didn't want to touch any of the used cars that had any mods built in to it. I might have to get rid of this car in 4 years so resale cost is a big factor for me... that's why I sprung for the certified & low mileage.
The only mod I'll consider getting is may a $10 speaker that plays blowoff valve sounds =P
