Hi y'all - just picked up my 2005 CGP/quartz/auto/non-navi TSX today and thought I would share my experience here in case there are others in my area in the market:

I purchased my car at Leith Acura in Cary, NC for $25,500 (about $330 above invoice). In North Carolina many dealers rip you off with a non-negotiable $398 document fee, so I countered this by negotiating the sale price down even more. With 3% tax, $62 registration, and $398 doc fee, the total out-the-door price was $26,725. I contacted about 10 dealers in NC, VA, and SC, plus 2 car buying services and got a broad range of offers. It took several rounds of negotiation with the dealers, and sometimes different salesmen/managers at a dealer to get the price this low. Most other dealers wouldn't come close to this price. Performance Acura in Chapel Hill and Flow Acura in Winston-Salem both offered $25,600, but I ultimately went with Leith Acura since they had the color I wanted. Performance also gave a ridiculously low trade-in of $1900 on my 96 Accord (Leith offered $3500, I ultimately went with Carmax for $4300).

How is the service department at Leith? Do you take your cars there?

Yep ... absolutely do ... great service. It is a 45 minute ride for me from northern Wake County and I still do it even for oil changes because of the staff there and the willingness to response to my concerns, etc. Of course it also allows me to check out the latest Acura cars as well

i hate leith f**kin bastards! the worst experience ever...

Purchased a brand new Honda Civic dripping wet when they delivered it. One day after found deep scratches in the window seal. Went back and they completely denied it, I was 16 at the time and so of course treated me like trash. Told them you will be hearing from my dad...their response "There is nothing we can do we don't care if you father comes." After writing a letter to Linda Leith my dad comes to the dealership and asks for a cup of water, they surely give it to him and my dad throws the cup of water on the seal. Asks the manager if he can see anything and hes says nothing. My dad proved the point he was trying to prove which was the car was delivered wet and there was no way to see such scratches. Dealer changed the seal in 15 min. For f**kin $20 they picked a fight. Dealer apologized. Leith also owns Autopark Honda in cary, Acura, BMW, and I think MB. My dad said to them "I am not your customer my kids are, you just f**ked up all their future and current generation business." Since that day we have purchased 2 Acuras (RSX-S and TSX) and a BMW 330i. All 3 cars fully loaded and were all bought from Performance Acura. The funny thing is we alway go to Leith to test drive and find the right models. Then tell them we can't deal because of that last incident...its great see the expression on their face. Its like we kicked their ass 3 times.

Anyways those who like Leith just giving you a heads up. You are treated like a king or queen when you buy a nice car but treated like trash if you buy a cheap car. The worst way to do business is by treating customers by how much money they have or what they are willing to purchase.

Ultimately I am closer to Leith than Performance, so not too many choices for servicing. Does either offer any nice perks like free hand carwashes?

Performance has handwashed my car a few times just because I hate their machine. Leith in Cary may handwash or take their cars right over to Autopark Honda to use their machine. We live in Cary near Waverly Place, so Leith is 2-3 miles away, shows how much anger we have against them still. Performance BMW and Acura by far has better service and nicer people.
