new TSX no exhaust tip!? wtf?!

I just got my TSX home. I did a 40 mile detour home from the dealer and I pull into the driveway and sure as "ish" my right exhaust tip is gone.

Has anyone had any problems with losing these things?

I mean, after 50 miles, I would think it should stick around, and no I didn't hit anything or get hit.

Have you called the dealer?

You should let them know ASAP.

And ya, did you check before hand?

you should of went thru a meticulious check before you drove it off the lot. never trust the stealership...no matter how nice a rep they got.

call or go back and let 'em know. speak to a sales/service manager if you have to. i've never heard of the problem before though. they'll probably take care of it since the car is new and the bolt may have not been tightened enough in the first place. if not, demand satisfaction!

sorry for a bad start of ownership. hope nothing else goes wrong.

I dunno about you guys, but my stock bolts were tightened like a mofo. I broke one while removing my tips for the OEM kit install.

Yea, they were both on there when I left the dealership. I gave it the overview. I called them up and at first they said they would have to "check the warranty." I said, "Look, I JUST drove off the lot 2 hours ago and already the thing is falling apart...."

They said bring it in and they will take care of it.

Yea, so far, I love the damn car. Which sucks, cause paranoia is gonna set in everytime I have to leave it in a parking lot. Oh well.

Guess I will have to watch finding Nemo again.

Unfortunately thats true. My salesman and i went over the TSX for a good 20 minutes before i drove it off the lot. The only thing i was missing was the remote control for my gate, but he mailed it to me so it was all good. Sorry to hear aobut the missing tip but the dealer should replace it and tighten the fizzle out of it at no charge.

It's ... cute I'd say. For kids, but with a few allusions for grown-ups as well.

Sorry, i should have been more specific. I have a remote for my gated community and i left the remote in the Accord that i traded in. The dealer was kind enough to mail it to me and save me the 120 mile round trip drive to get it. I actually had to wait outside the gate a few times and tailgate someone into the community.
