Cool New TSX, Atlanta

I am in Atlanta, and I am looking for a new 06 TSX with AT, Navi, moonroof visor, and spoiler. I have several offers from dealers, ranging from 29400 to 32000.

The guys that have said 29,400 do not have the car on the lot, but they do throw in some extra goodies, like the trunk mat, mud flaps, and the locking lug nuts. I know this is a decent price, but do you think I could get any better? I was hoping to get right at 29,000.

I haven't started haggling with him too much yet, I wanted some advice on the price before I started.

I have only found two dealers who have my color combo (Carbon grey with Quartz interior), the lowest price from the ones with the car is $29,715.

Also, what do you guys think of the navi? Is it worth the extra money?

I just think that I would regret it a week after buying the car if I didn't buy it with the navi.... I mean it is cool as hell. But is it worth 2k, and is it easy enough to use?

i contacted nalley acura, got $300 over invoice offer via email, then they told me there was a $600 documentation fee... plus i would have to fly to atlanta one-way and drive back a new car to new york. decided to buy locally, 2 weeks ago. deep green pearl on the lot with the plastic still on the car. they wont waive the doc fee, so it wasnt that great of a deal.

The 29400 is without taxes

This will be my first car buying experience, but I am a (self proclaimed) pretty good haggler. I am going to try to get him to come down to 28500 or 30500 OTD (7% sales tax). I am not sure if he will take that since I am getting some extras with the car.

I am also planning on getting the windows tinted as soon as I get the car. Should I go for the dealership tinting it, or going to a professional tinting place? I went aftermarket on my current car, and now (4 years later) the tint is starting to show its age, not sure if it was the place I went or what. The dealership wants to charge $150 for the job.

Not a great price.
You should be looking to get it at ~$28k +/- $200.
That was the going price for NJ buyers.

That is high really. Like psteng19 says, $28k is a better ballpark figure. $28,500 is at least decent.

Thanks for the help, I guess I will lowball to 28K and see what he says.

What do you guys think about the tint? Dealer or aftermarket?

I live in Atlanta as well and I would chime in that the Navi is well worth the money. I am so spoiled now I do not know if I could purchase a car in the future without it.

I picked up a TL three weeks ago at NALLY and I worked with them to drop part of the doc charges, they will work with you. They do hit you with a bs charge for the trunk mat, flaps, locking lugs. Easy to deal with, had what I wanted, it had also just hit the lot, still had the plastic on it and not logged into the computer when I found it.

I got my TSX in Va. Beach a few weeks ago so I can't help you guys out with prices in the Atlanta area, but I would recommend getting the Navigation system. I don't use it much in the Peachtree City area but when i take the wife shopping or to dinner in Atlanta it comes in very handy. We've also used the system to look up phone numbers while we're driving stuck in atlanta traffic.

I too am looking to get my car from Atlanta. Does the Navigation System have a subsription service just like the XM Radio?
no subsricption service, but if you want to update dvd's are $180.

I went aftermarket on my current car, and now (4 years later) the tint is starting to show its age, not sure if it was the place I went or what. The dealership wants to charge $150 for the job.
that seems like a good price. check to see what kind of tint they're going to put on and if that quote includes installing a felt (moleskin) on the doors to prevent scratching. I've got a quote from tintatlanta.com for 249.00 for a 35% tint with moleskin installed.

I test drove again, at a different dealership. This guy was a lot better than the last sales person. He took his time and showed me the navigation system extensively. I talked with him about price afterwards, and told him I wanted to get it a lot closer to 28000. He was shocked. I got him to come off the price a few hundred bucks but still not to the magic 29000 that I am looking for.

The place I went originally quoted me 28,715, and i got them to 28400. The place that originally quoted me 28400 is almost an hours drive away, so i couldn't drive that far after work.

The salesman said that the car came with a protection package (which seems pretty standard around here). He said one thing in the package was a special layer of additional clear coat over the paint to prevent scratches from getting to the paint. I haven't ever heard of this, is he making this up?

$28,500 is a decent price in the South (at least in Florida), you people in the other parts of the country should consider yourselves lucky. I mentioned 28k to a few dealerships and they thought I was insane. That and every place had doc fees that they refused to get rid off. Crazy south. You should be able to get it for 30.5k otd though.

And the nav is completely worth it.

If the tint is a good brand, that's a good price.

Bought my '04 TSX from Nalley. I said no to the proection package (trunk mat, flaps, locking lugs, etc.) and they reduced the price. When I picked up the car, they included the trunk mat, flaps, and locking lugs at no charge.
