New to TSX

Hi guys, I don't have a TSX just yet but I'm going to be checking one out this weekend. I just wanted to see if you guys have any advice as to what to look for. The pros and cons. The car is a '08 with 87k on it, clean title, pretty much mint from what I can see in the pictures. All warranty is transferable. Asking price is $13700. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks in advance.

I've had my 06 TSX w/Navi since new and I have +115,000 miles on her now. This is a pretty solid vehicle and I plan to keep my TSX as long as I can. The only issues I've had were:

- TSB to replace power steering hose (might break and cause fire in engine bay)
- Installed Skunk2 Pro series front camber kit because of worn a passenger side part

The rest has been routine maint, brakes, tires, battery, Navi DVDs and windshield wipers. I did have to paint my brake calipers because they were starting to look rusty around the edges.

I would download the owner manual to make sure you know how to work everything and test out before purchase. Overall, the TSX is very good used car; but, individual items like HIDs, A/C, transmission, etc... can be very expensive to fix.

Suggest paying for a professional evaluation. This will provide confidence that car is what is advertised; mileage, condition, DTC's scanned (sometimes they are erased temporarily).

I have always done this and it inevitably provides some info that can be used to reduce price (perhaps only slightly). Occasionally you may reveal a show stopper (auto trans DTC that can be fixed).

good luck

These cars are rock reliable!! However, like everyone said. Get it checked out or see if you can pull up some service records on the car. TIP: Get the myCarfax app and get the VIN for the car. Then add it to your garage and it will pull up all the service records on the car. If you want I can help you with that. Just send me the VIN and ill send you the service records.

Like i said very reliabile cars. I put 20k miles on my TSX in 9 months of ownership and have had one major issue (104k to 124k). But i will say this, its all about how the car was maintained.
