Hey everyone. I've been lurking this side for a while and I figured I'd intro myself.

Last month I picked up a 2006 PWP 5AT w/ 60k on the odo and love it. It's kinda a far cry from my JDM H23 swapped 98 CL that i was forced to sell after some back surgery I had in the begining of the year. The TSX is alot slower, haha, but way more practical for me. After the surgery, ridding slammed was a major no-no, so I bounced around between a couple vehicles (98 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9L and a EK coupe) before landing in the TSX. I paid $14.5 with a 3/36 extended warranty. 1 owner (judging by the creases in the drivers side leg bolster, possibly a fat chick), clean body and paint, tinted windows, and a stack of maintenance/service records.

First to go in was my sons Recaro child seat (matches the interior perfectly), then some Weathertech visors, and an Infinity Basslink. I also did the fog re-wire, debadge on the rear and iPod integration kit. That will pretty much be the way it will stay until the CPO warranty runs out. Then maybe some one piece coilovers and wheels.

All in all, it's a great car. Hopefully the rattling cat heat-shield was my only problem for a while.

About me, my names Mike. I've been a Volkswagen technician for the last 7 years, before herniating 2 disks and having surgery. I've been a home dad for going on 19 months now and it's awesome. About my past cars, I've always had some sort of modded Honda/Acura ever since I bought my first CRX in 1995. I've had about 12 CRX's through out my life. Also had a few tegras, an EG, an EK and a 2010 CRV, which we still have.

Anyway, just wanted to say whats up to everyone here.

Mike

That's one clean CL you had there. Do you know if the power steering hose recall was ever done on the TSX because it is a fire hazard?!

Yes, the power steering hose was completed before I bought it. I read the other guys post and that shit is horrible! I'll be making a trip to my local dealer to have a LOF and the free 1,000,000 point inspection to check stuff out and make sure everythings cool.

And even though I said to my wife I wouldn't, I've been buying shit left and right for this car. I just can't seem to help myself. It's just too damn easy to BUY NOW, haha.

I just copped a K&N drop in filter, some Tan OEM all weather mats, (2) HAMP Synergy filters (Green Toyo Roki's) and a hardwire kit for my Blue faced Passport 8500 X50 I found in a traded in R32 a few years back (score ).

cant stop, wont stop

Welcome to the TSX forum!!

The 06 TSX is the "sweet spot" for luxury, features/tech and available aftermarket mods. With gas prices at +$3.75 per gallon, you will appreciate the mpgs.
