New owner 2008 TSX in Milano Red

Hey Guys,

Its good to be back in an Acura again. I just picked up a great deal on a 2008 TSX with Navi and only 54K miles on it. Hopefully it'll be a reliable commuter just like my old Acura CL was. Here's some pics. In terms of mods, I've already bought the USA Spec Ipod adapter. I'll get that the day before thanksgiving

Here's some random crappy iphone pics.

I love that interior!

After the iPod adpapter, tt needs to be washed, and I'll probably take it to a professional detailer to get rid of swirl marks.

Keep the Milano Red waxed/protected. Looks just like my wife's (except her's is a 6MT). Also, keep an ear open for a noise as you turn your wheels - the rack is a known problem with this Gen model.

Thanks for the heads up on the steering rack, I paid attention to it while driving to work this morning, no noises apart from a rattle in the dash somewhere .

As for waxing, I was thinking of having the car sealed after I had the swirl marks removed, so that should take care of waxing for a while. I'm sort of tempted to try removing the swirls myself, since I'm a cheapskate

Welcome back

Keep your car's paint waxed/ sealed and garage it as much as possible during the day (esp. sunny days with a high UV index). Honda/Acura has had major problems with their Milano red paint in the recent past (heck, in the 90's too!). It's well documented too, both on this forum, and all over the net.

Often called "Milano Pink" if not maintained/cared for. I've seen several TSXs, Preludes, and Integras with faded paint, so please take care of yours!

Love the parchment interior too on the 06-08, actually prefer it to the black interior on those facelift years. As I've said before, with the 04-05, black is the only way to go, because of the faux wood trim that looks overly faux, especially in direct sunlight (compared to an older RL with the real deal, at least!)

Very nice car. I love the tan interior. Makes car seen larger and more luxurious inside as opposed to the black interior which makes it seem sportier. I guess it is a matter of taste but i prefer the larger and more luxurious look.

Me too. But the wood accents were very plasticky and poorly done on the 04-05 models in my opinion. Of course the aluminum trim on black interiors is faux, but not tacky.

On the 06-08, as I said earlier, I prefer the tan interior.

Thanks guys! As for the "Milano Pink", yeah I have that on the front right fender and the area between the windshield and the sunroof. So maybe I should forget detailing and get it painted in those two areas instead. Anyways, I'm not really sweating that until perhaps after tax time when I have more money to waste.

As for the interior, I agree on the fake wood, it looks real. But what I'm most impressed with is the quality of the leather. It was a total joke on my CL, the TSX leather is much better.

I know it's all personal opinion, and I'm probably offending a ton of 04-05 owners, but opinions are like *** *****, everyone's got one. This is mine:

OP, I like your interior!

I loved my 2004. I had the same color Milano with parchment interior..I think I still have a couple of pics of it. I wish I still had it but living in the mountains with all the snow AWD and SH-AWD is the only way to go up here, so I have a 2009 MDX w/Tech, and a 2006 MDX (wifes).

This is great, I had no idea this car is so beloved. I haven't driven my BMW at all since buying the TSX :-) It really rocks!

Also, I just installed my USASpec Ipod adaptor, its pretty trick as it integrates into the navi on the XM1 page. I can see the text of the songs and what not.

Parchment interior was the only choice you could get with the 04 milano red tsx. I am glad I waited. Personally I love the ebony interior on my tsx. Still looks excellent after almost 148k miles.

Hopefully you check the road occasionally between lyrics.

This is the truth. I've owned gray, beige and black interiors before. If you don't mind taking a swiffer duster to the dash once a month, black interiors remain spotless. The carpet and seats never show stains/wear as easily as other colors. Salt/mud stains in the carpeting takes more effort to remove on anything other than black.

It almost makes up for the inconvenience of owning a darker colored exterior that leaves me having to wash it often

For my next ride, I want something with a burnt orange interior! Now THAT is interesting

I'm not really a fan of the TSX in Milano Red, but I have to say it looks really good with the tan interior!

Best of luck to a fellow 08 owner!

Thanks! I didn't really want a red car either, but I just couldn't pass up the price. With that said, the color is really growing on me. It stands out alot at the parking lot at work. I think we have something like a dozen TSX's there, and I'm the only one in red, so it makes it easy to find when I go home.

I can honestly say after having the car close to a month now, that I really love it. Its probably the first car that I've owned that I can say that about. My beemer is totally collecting dust :-) My only regret, is that I couldn't find a 6MT version. Otherwise everything else is perfect!
