A mirror motor doesn't go up at the same speed it goes down.

The original design didn't have an adjustment, but after a few cycles the mirror was way off.

By adding the 'tweak' time it is possible to make the mirror movement extremely accurate.

To answer your question though, yes, it can be programmed to have the exact same up time as down time, but in my experiance on several different cars shows that the timings need to be different.

Any plans on a module that incorporates mirror positions with the memory seats?

Another oversight by Honda

That would require completely changing the mirror motor out.

So, no, no immediate plans for a 'memory' based mirror module.

Well, I have the module on my car and I must admit, it is pretty damn sweet. The delay for going back up isn't as long as it seems in the video when you're actually driving. I have mine set in mode 2 (2 hits into reverse on my 6MT). Love it. The install seemed pretty simple, only issue was there were 2 green wires, but Kevin's install instructions are very good. This makes my 4th KPtechnologies module (Windows up, One-Touch Moonroof, VSA disable, and Rear-view Tilt). I recommend this for those who 1.) rarely change their mirror and 2.) do a lot of parallel parking/reverse in space parking.

for KP again!!

A switch for what?

If you mean to disable, no. It is in mode 2, so unless I put it in reverse in quick succession, it won't tilt down. If you do it in mode 1, it will tilt in 1 sec (used if you have an auto and you shift through reverse, it won't tilt).

Again, this is a really sweat mod.

only problem i see for autos is that engaging reverse and unengaging reverse might add excess wear to the transmission. In manuals, u can go in and out of reverse w/o engagaging as long as you keep the clutch down.

You wouldn't probably use mode 2 for auto. You would want to use mode 1, within 1 second of hitting reverse, the mirror would tilt down. If you kept going to drive, then it wouldn't trip it.

I'm sure Kevin will post the price. I'm not sure if there is a group buy or not. He was using my car to confirm the wiring on his wife's USDM Accord. Think everything was the same, but again, he'd have to comment.

Mode 2 is sweet. I just had move the car around and no tilting.

Thank you Mr. and Mrs. moda_way for hosting my wife and me today.

As moda_way said the install was pretty smooth, with only one wire being different then the Honda Accord that is shown on the KPtech support forum. This wire is the reverse wire, and is the same color, just a slightly different location.

I don't think you need to worry about wearing the transmission out, I'm not even sure it engages if you shift to reverse then out of reverse quickly. You run the shifter through reverse every time you put the car in park, this is no different.

If you select the correct 'mode' then you won't be doing the 'two Reverse' thing anyway. Mode 1 triggers when you put in in reverse and is bypassed when you go in and out of reverse twice quickly (for people who parallel park a lot and will use this feature a lot) and there is Mode 2 that bypasses the tilt by going in to reverse and triggers the tilt by going in and out of reverse twice quickly.

Pricing will be announced soon. We are finishing up the testing phase so it should be availible before much longer. We will most likely offer a group buy when we release the module.

We have some in stock, but we are having problems with our website. We have contacted our host and they are working on it, but they won't tell us when to expect things to be back to normal. Until then, we will not be releasing this product.

kpierson, are you ever going to release something where we can one touch open and close all the four windows in the car (inside the cabin) for the TSX? I know that the new 07 TL has that feature & RDX and would hope that one day we could get it on the TSX?

We are not planning on it as of right now. There are currently products on the market that will add the one touch feature to vehicles not equipped with it.

any pictures or install instructions to help with the tsx install? i'm a newbie to modding the tsx, though i have problem taking apart the car with some step by step help (those clips, screws, and what not are a pain if you don't want to break anything, let alone finding wires).

The best way is to do them one at a time.

I've spent today doing a pretty big install on a customers '07 G35 - 6 different modules. It makes for a long day doing them all at once, so we recomend you pick the one you like the most and start there (the window up module is our most popular module with the most online documentation so most people start there.

I believe we have a mirror tilt installation in a Honda Accord in our support forum - http://www.KPtechnologies.com/forums
