new member intro

Hey guys, new member here. Just bought a 06 CGP TSX (manual) not in perfect shape, Ill be lurking the DIY forum for a little bit. The Bad - the driver door actuator, moisture in headlight and rear sway bar "pop". The Good - I own a 6 speed TSX w/ 43k on it. lol.

Welcome, and congrats on the car. The door actuator problem is not uncommon, though it doesn't usually seem to be the driver's door (though it makes perfect since it by far sees the most use). I think there are a few DIY threads here. This is a supplier problem that Honda has had for at least 20 years (I had a 92 Accord EX that had one go bad). I'm amazed that it still plagues them. I suppose that since it usually happens after the warranty has expired that they feel less pressure to address it, but still.....

The moisture problem was subject to a recall, but I thought that was for 04 and 05 models (my 05 had the recall performed, though I never had a problem). It's just some clips that attach to the top of the headlight housing anyway, I believe (at least it was). Try a dealer and see what they tell you. The rear sway bar thing is odd. I don't recall reading of any problems with the OE sway bar. Do you know if it's been replaced? It may just be a loose end link. Whatever it is, it shouldn't be too hard to fix. And just as an FYI, Moog makes some replacement end links that are far superior to the OE ones and they're cheap ($18 and change at Rock Auto).
