New to me 06 tsx

Hello all... I have just purchased a 2006 Tsx Milano red with tan interior. It has the aspec front lip, navi, tinted windows and visors.
I paid 13600 plus taxes, sitting at 70,xxx miles (yea I know I may have overpaid a bit) but my girlfriend needed a good reliable car in the 15k and under price range, and well, here I am. Probably not planning on modding, if modding at all as it is mainly my gfs car. Maybe a reflash since I'll be driving her too
well hi

Welcome to the site. I have to be honest and confess that I'm anything but a fan of the red, but it looks clean and 70K miles is nothing for a TSX. Try to come up with a maintenance history, study the owner's manual, and take good care of the car; it will last a long time. And don't worry about what you paid, a year or two from now you won't remember and you won't care (and sorry, but your girlfriend could be long gone by then too :wink.

lol. We plan on having all fluids done such as ps tranny radiator and brake. I have a friend who works at honda who can perform some behind the scenes work.

Very nice. Welcome. Treat her nice and she will last you 10+ years. This advice is applicable to both the TSX and the girlfriend :-)

congrats to you!

my first time posting here as i'm also a recent owner of a TSX. I picked up my 2007 silve TSX about 5 mths ago with only 26k kms. Paid $18.5k canadian for it and i'm loving it !

plus the car is almost like new with such low kms.

That grom audio looks pretty interesting. However, since the car already has bt for phone calling, the only thing missing is the BT streaming audio. What i did was pick up a blackberry music gateway - essentially it's a bluetooth receiver and it's connected to the aux jack in the car. it's powered just off any usb plug.

Each time i turn on my car, it will automatically reconnect to my phone (only if my phone's bt is on first...)

Congrats looks just like my car! The tan interior rocks, except the floor mats constantly need to be cleaned.

Keep the piant protected at least annually (more if it is exposed to daily sun) with a good polish and waxing. Milano Red is notorious for fading if not cared for. Enjoy the TSX.

Nice! I don't think you paid to much for the car. Seems like a fair deal to me. Plus resale values on Acuras in general are pretty high.

+1. Wax it with an insulator wax or any good durable wax twice a year to keep it red. Great car! Mine is white/tan, and I love the tan interior...a lot!

I like the Milano Red too! I'm looking for a 06 or 07 with black interior, Navi and a 6MT. They pop up on autotrader now and than!!

The price sounds about in line with what others would pay at a dealership. I'd go a little lower myself, but then again salesmen hate me. Red is my least favorite color for the TSX because it emphasizes sportiness but minimizes the luxury look of the vehicle. Tan is my favorite interior color though, and I wish I had it. This is where you spend most of your time anyhow. '06 is the best year in my opinion. The auto tranny is ok, but the 6mt is what really stands out on this vehicle. Congrats on your purchase and gf.
