New and going to buy a TSX need input please
Hi, I'm new here and I'm thinking about buying a TSX, I love this car! Anyways, I have several options but I found an 04 fully loaded with Nav at a dealership. They're asking 20k but are willing to bring it down to 18k due to its high mileage 80k!!
I was wondering if it would be wise for me to purchase this car with 80k miles on it? There is a 5 years pwr train warranty from Honda.
The car runs great except that I noticed heat coming from the left driver side front vent, not sure if the heater was turned on because I didn't see the temperature indicator on while driving.
Please adivse thx!

The TSX is a very good car, and will likely last you quite a while, but I would look for one with a few less miles. Might cost a little more, though.

That is A LOT of miles, even though it is a honda, i wouldn't feel comfortable paying that much $$ for a car with that many miles on it....
Its all a matter of how you feel with the mileage though!
PS: TSX's come standard with all the options except the navi, that is the only option for our cars!

Yeah it is alot of miles, I don't know how someone can put that much mileage for an 04!
I'm looking around for other TSX.
BTW I just love that car, it's fully loaded and adding the nav is just icing on the cake!
I currently drive a 04 325ci BMW, even though it's a great car I can't wait to get into an TSX.

Is the pwr train warranty for 5 years from your date of your purchase (3/2007 to 3/2012) OR 5 years from the date the car was originally purchased by the original owner (3/2004 to 3/2009)?
I've haven't seen very many new warranties offered for vehicles with +75,000 miles other than pre-existing warranties. If it is the original warranty, it might run out at 100,000 miles or 5 years (which ever comes first).
The TSX in any year is a great car, I think you could find the same TSX with half the mileage for the same price OR upgrade to a 05 for a few bucks more. Having 80,000 miles is a little too much for me without knowing the history of the TSX.

i would defintley look for a better deal. I got a 04 tsx with navi only 37500 miles on it for 20k out the door. I went with a private party and theres no sales tax in nevada. I got a pretty good deal.
keep looking or consider going out of state.

Ok thanks guys, do you have to pay sales taxes if you buy from a private party in California?

i am assuming that you are buying a lease return. Take a good look around the car for any cosmetic defects, you may be able to bring the price down if there are any there. Also, go on kbb.com and check the market price for the car. Also, when you say it is fully loaded, does that mean that it has the A spec kit or any other accessories?
Look at the condition of the car under the hood. Does it leak any oil or fluids?
When you drive it, does it rattle or creak?
Does the car shift fluidly? What I might recommend is going to a dealership to drive a new TSX, and then drive the one you are considering. From there you have the chance to evaluate how the car should feel on the road when it is in mint condition. It may make you fall in love with the new model though. haha!
Just go with what feels right to you. If the car feels fine, then by all means... however, I do think the price is a little high.

In any case I feel more confident buying an Acura.

New, I apologize for possible incorrect posting
I am writing from S. Florida.
I am putting my Integra 96, 150k miles, out to pasture. Am looking at 06 TSXs with low mileage, sub 15k miles, from dealers, pre-owned, certified. Cars available are in $24-25K asking price range.
Any help in price negotiation would be appreciated.
Grazie,
KBS
P.S. BTW, Bluetooth came on-line in 06, not available with 05?
