My record is 23 miles, 46.5 on the MID (it's rare for me though - I hit every light on my way to work - all 17 of them). Although, I think there is a favorable elevation drop going that direction. My best round-trip for 46 miles is 36.1. Although by the end of the tank, it's always between 30 and 32.

Most of my in-city commute to work is actually on the highway, so I'm getting 27-28 MPG pretty regularly. Mix in some more highway driving, and I've gotten it past 30. Seems pretty good.

Exactly. Next time you fill up note the milage and the MID's MPG claim before putting the car in gear. Then divide the milage by how many gallons you put in -- you'll see a number 1-2mpg less than the MID's claim.

I've seen number like that after a fill-up, but IMO they don't really mean much.
