New 07 Owner with a few questions.

Thank you all in advance for your help and answers. I have the 07 TSX with NAV.

1. Is there a way for the display (the one for the clock) to show the song name or band name insted of the XM genre? I know is displays for a second but I would rather have that on display then the genre.

2. The rearview miror dimmer is always on. I can push the power button to turn it off, but is there a way to keep it off unless I turn it on?

Thank you.

Thanks. One reply, one question done. I am not suprised that you replied first, and with an answer, because I have been reading a lot of the threads today and have seen your avatar numerous times.

You should be glad you have NAV or you would still be looking for the compass.

Questions have been answered.

That worked! Thank you. It will let me choose between : channel, Name, and Title. I don't know why I thought genre was in there???
Again, thank you to everyone. I have learned quite a bit today from this forum.

On a side note to the post above.....on the model without the nav, is the compass hard to find?

Now, if I could just find out how to edit my first post to say "completed".

Don't worry about it. Let others read the posts and maybe they will learn something as well.

Just out of curiosity, why would you want to turn off the auto-dim mirror? (Disclaimer here; I hate the mirror but won't go into a rant).

I wouldn’t want to turn it off so bad if it didn’t have the green light on it. Since it has a green (on) light, I only want it to be one when it is dark and needs to be used. I know that maybe ridiculous, but when it is being unused I prefer to have it off.

I actually have another question. So hopefully this thread will have a few more viewers. Is there any way to have the doors automatically lock when the car starts to drive or when it is put in gear? Along with that, can the doors unlock when the ignition is turned off? My old car did this and I loved it.
I also wish it had automatic headlights. I realize I can leave them on and they will turn of, and back on when I start to drive again, but that is not the same thing.
Again,
Thank you.

The car has automatic headlights, read your manual to enable the feature, im not sure how to do it. I have this feature off because i am a control freak, but i know at the dealer they gave me the option to turn off the automatic headlights.

I dont think the doors will automatically lock, if there is i am also interested in knowing how to do that? my old car used to do the same, and i felt more secure when my own car held me hostage.

The lights are automatic only in that if you leave them on, they will turn off after you turn off the car, and turn on when you turn the car back on. There is no light sensor connected to the lights that will turn them on at dusk.
