That is sweet! I'm glad I waited to purchase an adapter! Does anybody know if this is, like their other iPod adapter, simply a rebranded USAspec? Why is the adapter that supports TEXT only $179, while the regular one is $199? Also, it looks like those with NAV will have to buy an additional $20 cable harness.

jswim99,

I'm thinking the reason why their selling it cheaper is to entice customers to by the newer model now, but the only problem with that is there could be bugs. As for the navigation cord, Yes, you need to purchase the Y cord. If you buy the regular NEO Prolink it comes equipped with the Y cord.

I just received my NEO Prolink, but it's the model that doesn't support text on my radio. I haven't touched anything yet, so I'm thinking about returning it for the NEO unit that supports text. The only problem is that I may be charged with a 15% restocking fee. I hope somebody on this forum has purchased the Neo with Text, because I'm just wondering how to disconnect the SAT radio cord and how the text is like.
There better not be any bugs on this new Neo !!!

NP, good luck! the trick is the placement of the unit back inside there. I have to redo it cause my bottom two clips are fully in place yet cause the unit is in the way. I just haven't felt like fixing it yet, plus its been freezing here! Good luck....its not bad at all

done! i installed my IceLink today during lunch -- it took less than 5 minutes. I didn't drill a hole in the storage bin (I'll do that this weekend and re-install it while making the light in there blue), just ran the cable around the side of the bin and between the bin and the Not-an-ashtray piece. I didn't even disconnect the battery. It sounds great!

and someone mentioned that the IceLink gets hot -- it sure does.
is that something i should be concerned about?

USA-SPEC Easy Install

Got my USA-SPEC PA11-HON2y today.. installed it in 30 min thanks to some help in this thread. Worked first time like a charm. This is in a TSX with NAV.

Has anyone installed cable to iPod glovebox (to keep iPod in there) as opposed to the CD bin? Any negatives to putting it there?

I recently ordered a Neo I-Pod Prolink for my TSX, but unfortunately I just found out that the Neo Car audio just released the an I-Pod adapter with text report.

So, does anybody want to purchase my regular Neo I-Pod Prolink? I'm willing to part with it for $190 (shipping is included). I guarantee that I haven't touched anything or installed it into my car. If you live in the San Francisco Bay Area I'm willing to part with it for only $180.

Please e-mail me at: rvtec12@aol.com or send me a message on the acurazine forum.

I think you might be posting on the wrong forum, but are you crazy? I can buy a brand new Neo Prolink with text for $180 direct from the manufacturer!

Just an update. I've been using the iceLink for over 1 month now with no problems. $15 solution. More money for tires...

I have no idea how hot it gets because I have it hidden behind the compartment. I did not mount the unit at all because, as others here have said, I don't want somebody looking in my car and seeing an iPod.

I have discovered that turning the radio off before I turn the car off helps the system re-boot more quickly sometimes?

Still satisfied. I've not looked on eBay to see if they have the iceLink's any longer.

Happy iPod-ing all!

jswim99,

Please understand that this a NEW NEO I-Pod Prolink, and I haven't touched anything or installed it into my car. I hope you understand the facts before you post because the Neo Prolink with Text only works for car's that have a XM radio!!!! PLEASE RESEARCH THE FACTS!!!

I don't mean any disrespect--I do understand the facts though. You have a USED Prolink. It doesn't matter if you haven't pulled it out of the box; purchasing it from you means it has inherently less value, since there's more risk involved buying it from you than from the Neo company. Perhaps somebody will decide this risk is worth the roughly 10% discount you're offering from a new one, good luck.

Neo Text Trouble

I've got an '06 TSX non-nav w/ XM support -- my neo adapter w/ text support just arrived but it's only 1/2 working. "Direct" mode works properly but nothing happens in "Advanced" mode (a.k.a text display mode). Has anyone got this working?

hate to bring an old thread back to life, but... I have the Denison Ice Link and an 80GB ipod, is there a way to hear the audio on movie tracks and South Park episodes? I can hear the audio on videos but not movies.

I don't think the Neo TEXT version will work on Canadian cars since we lack the XM radio button on our vehicles. It seems to be a pre-requisite for the text to work.
