Transmission on my 2004 TSX recently went out. It was at 220k. miles. Just went through the process of getting it replaced with a used "JDM" transmission that supposedly had between 50k-60k miles. After all that it turned out to be bad. So now I'm fighting with them over a refund.

I still need to get it replaced and have been trying to find local used options but cannot find any for an '04. I have found a few for 2006-2008 TSX's but have been getting mixed information. Some places say that it should work, others say that it won't. I recently talked with a local transmission shop who has pretty good knowledge and reviews. They informed me that as long as my transmission is a "MCTA" transmission and matches the replacement transmission that I should be okay. So I lucked out and found an '06 with the MCTA transmission that matches mine. Just wanted to see if anyone has first hand experience with these transmissions before I purchase it. The transmission is about an hour away and I don't wanna have to go through all this trouble again and end up in the same situation. Thank you!
