Need Nav Problem Help

We have an 06 nav/at. Great car, my wife loves it. I get to drive it at the weekends for fun and notice that the nav position is consistantly a little off. No real problem except when using the routing, it is constantly trying to get you back on a freeway you are already on. Use the car position adjust screen function and all is well, only issue is you have to be stopped to do this which is not good on a freeway. However when you turn the car off it reverts back to the origional base settings and so next time you use the nav system you have to change the offsets again it does not keep them in memory.

My question to fellow navi owners is this a common problem with this system or has mine a problem.

Thanks in advance.

Peter

I haven't experienced this problem yet. Only had the 06 TSX for a little over 3 months in New Mexico (wide open skies). The Navi is smart enough to let me know when I am in the wrong lane and it tells me to move over left or right to exit. It also gives me pretty good estimation of when to turn or when I reach my destination (plus/minus 50-75 feet).

Maybe the GPS is not calculating you position correctly to map you on the DVD based map? Sounds like a calibration error, let the Acura dealership have fun with this one.

Very slim chance it could be your window tint causing the problem, if you have tint?

No chance you are using a towed-array receiver on a 50 foot cable? Probably not...

I've had it happen once or twice but it is not a common problem. I use my nav all the time. The only problem is that i need an updated DVD for my 05 nav. Some roads are not recognized by the navi.

i test out my nav system every once in awhile, and sometimes, yes, it'll keep saying "take the next U-turn, if possible" over and over, and will only give me a different set of directions if i cancel current route, and then go back to previous destinations and select the address again.

try that next time.
