Dirk: In your opinion, if you bought a car from a salesperson (not the internet guy) last time and he is still there, should he get first shot when it comes time to buy a new one?

I like the idea/ease of just doing it over the internet this time around, but the guy I bought from in '02 is a floor guy, not the internet manager. Suggestions?

If he is still there, you should go to him again. Unless you don't like him.

Repeat business is a pretty big deal...it reassures us that we are doing something right, and that not everyone hates us.

Are you usually more willing to deal with a repeat customer that comes back to you and not give them any of the typical "salesperson BS"?

I'm not one of those corny old-timers, that you will often see. I am straight with my peeps whether or not they are previous customers.

Its a closing technique I developed to try and make things easier for myself and my customers...and to get car sales a better rep...maybe...
