Need help with head unit

So I bought a used head unit from the junkyard and replaced my old busted one. Anybody know where I can get a code? It's a 2005 head unit in my 2004 TSX. Also my weather control seemed to stop working.

I think the radio code might be tied to the original 2005 TSX VIN or there might be a serial number on the 05 head unit that might be linked to the radio code. You might have to call the dealership with both to see if they can look up the 05 radio code. It would be too hard to guess the 5 digit code by luck or brute force running all the possibilities.

Can't you just call the Honda/Acura Tech help line listed in your owners manual? That is what I had to do after just purchasing a used 09 TSX, that didn't come with the factory code. Found out I needed it after disconnecting the battery.

Looks like that number is 1-888-528-7876. I called them and they got me squared away with the correct code.

What info did they need from you to get the correct radio code? Was it a generic radio code that will work for all head units in the same model year?
