Does anyone know if Acura/Alpine is coming out with a new DVD to update the the existing one anytime soon? I read somewhere that they will update it this coming Fall. If so, people who bought the '04 TSX w/Nav get any discount?

 

There have been one or two threads about this -- I think the last one was maybe a week ago. As I remember, some people were saying they thought a new one would come out this fall. I don't think anyone was sure. And a lot of people thought a new one wouldn't be worth the cost.

 

I have another question. Is the OS for the navi part of the DVD or only the map info? Could other things change with an updated dvd, like more radio presets or better icons (I hate the CD icon, but I guess thats because I'm used to the photo realistic icons in Mac OS X.)?

 

Macs suck. But that's another subject...

12 FM presets and 6 AM presets seems plenty to me.

 

I'll stay out of the Mac/PC argument for now. If your happy with what you use, more power to you.

Anyways, the twelve FM's so far have been enough for me, but I would like 12 am's also. Here in bay area I have two for the SF Giants/Warriors/Niners, and four for news. Can't seem to find room for the A's station.

Not a big deal, since with the in dash changer I don't listen to the radio that much anyways. Just curious if it is even possible.
