Navi Update

Okay, stupid question. I saw that the update was available for my TSX. I have an '05 TSX Automatic with (obviously) Nav. Anyway, under the map coverage they don't list Waco AND they don't list Waco for an updated city. Anway, I noticed on the '06 model TSX they list Waco for the map coverage! What the hell? Anway, I can buy the 4.31 update (white label)...will that work in my TSX or am I stuck with the orange 3.50???

Any help would be appreciated!

Also, why on earth would Acura have more map coverage for the '06 than than the '05??? Couldn't they just use the same data for an '05 update as they do for the new '06??

the 06 and 05 Navi's are different and the newer disk won't work in the older Navi unit. However, I would be surprised if the maps aren't the same, just the features are different. I think the maps for all Honda Navi's come from the same place.

In fact don't the maps for all manufacturers come from the same supplier?

I believe there are a few map data companies out there, but 99% of GPS systems seem to use the Navteq data.
