NAVI screen LIFETIME-
NAVI screen LIFETIME-
I 'm thinking of getting a T.V. Turner for the Navi....but
Since all LCD Screens have a lifespan of so many hours.....
(hundreds of thousands)
I started thinking ....
what kind of effect would the T.V. Turner have on a Navi Screen that really does not intend it's use for high definition colors, such as those the T.V. provides/requires..
I went to a local speed shop, whom has a good knowledge of TV’s and LCD screens and Navi's for Cars....from what I see they do good work and many people recommend them over any others around...
This guy took a look at the Navi system and he explained that the system was of good quality.....not the best that he has seen ……but good. He said that many people have come to him wanting to replace their navi because it wore out prematurely (all of them had T.V. system or some other after market component with the Navi...and it was like a 99-00 model car/truck.
He said that he was not making any assumptions but his best bet is that the Navi wore out because of the application. (T.V)
Things that could happen....: brightness becomes poor and sharpness becomes distorted.
If any of you guys have any input on the matter I would greatly like to know.....
Since I won't keep the car for more than 5 years I will want to have one on.......with a PS....but I don't want to have a crap resale because of it. Thx
