Navi Question

I just bought a used 04 tsx with a non working navigation system. After doing research and some troubleshooting it seems the unit needs to be repaired.

Aside from the navigation, which can easily be replaced by my phone, what does other things does it control. I believe it controls the AC some from what i understand but anything else?

I am trying to decide if it is even worth it to sent the unit off for repair. The lack of being able to control air flow is annoying but i can manage. Having a big useless screen is also annoying but I suppose i can manage there as well.

Any opinions are much appreciated!

Also forgot to mention that the CD player doesn't work either. I plan on getting an ipod adapter anyways.

I have a USA SPEC PA15-HON2 iPod adapter in my 2004 Acura TSX (with NAV) that works pretty well with my iPhone.

I made a post about it here back in 2009...

As I mentioned in my post above, I use a USA SPEC adaptor in my TSX. Check this site out....

http://usaspec.com/

Click on the products menu and choose your vehicle from the vehicle selector.

My navi went out as well. The nav is useless if you have a phone w GPS but it seems to not allow my ac to blow cold air. Is this a compressor problem or a nav problem?

I would assume that it is a compressor issue. My AC works fine with the "auto" button. From what I understand, there are more controls for AC when the nav is working. Also can't set the clock time without it and some CD functions as well. This is all based on some research because I didn't get any answers here.
