Some of the gas station icons are displayed wrong where I live. (i.e.) Shell shows up as BP, etc. Is that common where everyone lives?

 

It is probably due to the information in the DVD navigation being obsolete.

I have a 2004 and some of the restaurants listed in the Navi were closed and renamed back in 2003.

 

yeah I have had that same issue. It's just old data.

 

There's a bunch of stuff around me that you would think would be in the database.

Example, just today I searched for gas stations closest to my house. It didn't show up the two closest at all. And the one nearest me has been around for several years.

Goes to show there's no real need to pick up a new navi disk every year unless you know for a fact they've updated your area or there's some new feature on it.
