Nav directions interrupting you on the phone?
Hey --
I searched and searched and searched, but couldn't find anything on this, so here's the question.
Just picked up a 2006 6MT w/nav and was using the directions feature of the nav while on the phone. Even though I was on the phone, the nav came on just as loud to give me directions, which the caller on the other end heard. Does this happen to anyone else? Is there some way to stop this from happening or does everyone just deal with it?

Its happened to me whilst driving and using the hands free link to talk to my wife and she thought I had another woman in the car. First time my Tsx has got me in trouble with the wife!!
Don't know if there is a fix for this, apart from turn down the volume of the nav voice prompts.

Let me help you!
It's interesting how you're not allowed to use both systems at the same time (ie: give voice commands while on HFL), but the TSX is allowed to.
But yes, I think the TSX would be doing a bad job if it stopped giving you directions while you're on the phone. "Sorry boss, I missed the meeting because my car didn't tell me to exit, and it was 10 miles until the next exit"

there's nothing you can do about it, other than turn the voice prompts off totally, or maybe turn the volume down...
it's there for a reason, if you feel you don't need the voice prompts you can just follow the directions on the screen once you've turned them off...
or turn them down to minimum so they won't go off as often...
