Angry My TSX was rear ended for the second time in less than 2 months!!

People really need to PAY ATTENTION when driving!!! I am really getting sick of being rear ended. This makes it a total of 3 times that I've been in this kind of accident. Thankfully, they have all been pretty much minor damage, but still--I'm done!

Today I was at a stop light and when the light turned green, I started to creep and the cars in front of me all crowded up and I had to stop creeping and brake. The stupid ghetto chick behind me on her cell phone didn't stop and put a small dent and some major scuffing in the bumper along with busting out the reflector. Grrrrrr! Cops said she would be getting a ticket because she was driving w/o a license, plus the car she was driving (a Ford) belonged to her friend who is in jail. She also has no insurance. Good times, people.

So, my question is this: I will definitely be taking the car to Acura/body shop for an estimate, but should I push for the bumper to be replaced or just fixed. Here's the deal--I had the bumper replaced twice on my Accord because of accidents like this and now the bumper sags really bad. I'm afraid this will happen to the TSX, as well. Any reason I should not believe that and what do you guys think they will recommend???

Meanwhile, I am trying to reverse my bad luck by driving in reverse. I'll let you know how that works out for me.

Oh, yeah! I forgot to mention that. The other driver was a little weird. She was a young girl (maybe 19?) and she was talking on the phone the whole time the cops were there--even while they were talking to her. This did not make them happy. The cops then come up to my window and I had the car on since it is cold! and just then I got a call on my hand free. It says "you have an incoming call". The cop looked all impressed and says "that's cool!" I say "yeah, that's how I DON'T get into accidents while yapping on my phone" (referring to the other driver) The TSX is so cool even the cops like it!

Lol, an unlicensed driver driving while talking on the cell phone...

My co-worker's brother insists on driving without a license or insurance...my co-worker can't get him to take the test or stop driving...

In a population of millions, there are bound to be idiots ;-P

Ugh, I really hate people like that. They should have told her right then and there that she would be getting a ticket because she never STFU on her stupid cell phone. That is a major reason for so many accidents lately, IMO. People just do not pay attention. I hope she is not able to get her license for a few years for all the things she was doing wrong.

I don't understand how they let her drive off then w/o a license? That's messed up...

P.S. Are there any body kits that include a bumper? Always wanted the OEM body kit, but I know that just clips on. Was thinking "as long as I'm changing the bumper, why not upgrade?"

Mugen full bumper change.

Either 04 or 06 works, considering 04 and 06 bumpers are interchangeable.

Sorry about your plight, I would do full bumper replacement with genuine parts.

The whole rear bumper is replaced, I thought it was just a rear lip also for MUGEN

Sorry about the accident. Glad it wasn't worse and that you're OK. I'd push for replacing the whole bumper.

that is correct, the Mugen rear is a lip. Only rear bumper replacements are Ravenstyle or Buddyclub
