My garage has become TSX enhanced!

Hi all,

Well, I'm happy to say that I now own a 2005 CG 5AT/Navi TSX bought this past memorial day. So far this has been the perfect car for me and I couldn't be happier.

It took about a year of contemplation, a couple of comparos and glowing reviews, a good upgrade in my career, and a longer commute to convince me it was time for an upgrade from my dependable but decidedly less luxurious Integra 4dr LS 5MT. Plus, my wife and 2 year old are more precious cargo; the Teg just wasn't gonna cut it anymore.

I'm looking forward to getting the comptech intake, comptech header, aspec suspension, and some lightweight rims/tires on her. Hondata upgrade possibly? In the meantime, its been a great first 600 miles.

Cheers,

CG Earl

PS This is just a shot in the dark, but is anyone interested in a well-treated 98 CSM 4dr/5MT Integra? In november I had installed Comptech headers, Icebox Intake, H&R OE Sport Springs and KYB GR2s, Type-R Front Lip, 16" OZ superleggeras (14.6 lbs). 138,xxx mi, I have all maintenance records, as well as receipts for installation of mods. Let me know. Thanks!

Thanks for the kind welcome, it seems everyone on this forum has a pretty mature disposition. Quite a breath of fresh air as compared to many other forums, even other AHM board. Which begs the question, do good people buy the TSX, or does the TSX make us into good people? Hmmm...

Congrats!

If you want to sell your Teg you should post it in the Private Sales & Trades forum, just be sure to read the Black Market Rules before posting.

DJDZ,

D-Bar, awesome! What part of DB are you from? If you're ever by Reagan park or near DBHS on Pathfinder and see a CG TSX with Weir Canyon plates/frames and see a Filipino dude in it, wave (or nod, whatever is least gay). Its probably me.

Glad to be part of the club!

'Sup, kumusta pare, I just moved here last August from Fullerton, but my wife has lived here in DB all of her life. I used to play ball out in the Eagle Rock area all the time back in the early 90's.

Once I get her modded up, I'll let you know. In the meantime, I'll be on the look out for you!

Camaros?!- didn't they stop making those in the mid-70s? Wait a sec, I think they stopped designing them in the mid-70's....

Wow, you move quick, only one week with the car and in come the goodies. Congrats, I gotta come by and check it out. Are you past break-in yet so we can make that K24 sing?

Yep, past the break in. I want to beat her pretty good before I slap in the CAI. Otherwise, I'll have no opportunity to feel 'bone stock' power.

A-spec suspension just came to my door yesterday. Acura of Escondido shipped the package the same day and it got to my door the day after bidding on ebay! I'll probaly have Jesse install them & do an alignment? I'm even considering buying the DC header before so I could do them ALL at once.

Awesome, when's it all going in? I will definitely get the A-spec as soon as the wife isn't looking. Have you looked into the Hondata gasket as well? That's another relatively painless mod that I'd like to add to my list.

DC Header? I don't have any personal experience with it, but have heard unflattering things about the ceramic coated products. Longevity might be an issue. However, maybe things have changed under the new ownership (AEM). Its been written somewhere that they've solved the weld problem....anyways, just my non-expert .

Easiest mod to hide is the Hondata reflash. Just drive your car to Epic Motoring in Torrance and you can have the reflash done in a couple hours. More power with no possibility of getting caught by the wife.

I'm right by the pathfinder freeway entrance, where that building burned down (I swear I didn't do it).

You probaly were refering to this discussion:
http://www.acura-tsx.com/forums/show...ghlight=header

It looks like the comptech header has less risk associated with it. I think I'll compare the pricing of the 2.

Ya, that thread as well as some first-hand experiences I read on the team integra site when doing research for my integra's headers, relating to DC headers (for the integra of course). Maybe things have changed, but I wouldn't go ceramic in the very least. Stainless steel, one piece, and the better type of weld (I forget if its MIG or TIG) are my criteria.

Now, if Toda can do this, make more power, and come in at a reasonable price point, I'll change allegiances really quick.
