My first Acura is on its way

Hi all. I have been searching for a good car and did a ton of research and decided on a CGP TSX with a 6sp. I should have it by the end of the month. Probably paid a bit too much, but in my area it seems they are very hard to come by. I paid $26,500. No it doesn't have nav. That was something I really didn't want. There were two other dealers that had one coming in and they wouldn't consider anything under $27,000, so what can you do?

Anyway I am pretty excited and wanted to share it with a group of folks that already ones one. Can't wait to drive a car again. Been driving a Jeep Cherokee for the past 10 years. Has 168K miles on it and has original clutch. Was a great car, but I am so looking forward to something that handles and drive nice and something that is more efficient and is a better environmental choice. Hope it is a pretty quiet car at speed.

Take care,
Curt

From a fellow CGP/6MT, welcome!
(it's a bit noisy at higher speeds, nothing a new set of tires can't fix)

Thanks for the welcome. I heard the tires were not the best that come stock, but I don't think I will change them out until I need to. I can't wait to pick the car up.

No worries there. I am pretty easy on my cars. My current Jeep has 168K miles on it with original clutch. No problems either. Hope the TSX is as good as my Jeep. I can't wait to have a car again. So much nicer than some stupid SUV.

Since you are using labels like "stupid SUV", I am sure you'll find the TSX much more enjoyable than your Jeep - especially going from a 168K mile Jeep to a brand stinking new TSX

Thanks all. I am having trouble sleeping. I just can't wait for my car. The paperwork came today and I am really excited. I wish I could just grab the car now, but sometimes a wait really makes you appreciate what is going to be your car. I have had my Jeep for almost 10 years. I restored three homes with it, so I can't complain about driving a suv really, but I don't restore homes anymore and really find it silly to drive something like that.

Can't wait!
Curt
