VAT rate is 19%, but we have another tax on cars called BPM (great...). On my car there is 8100 euro BPM tax, which puts my Sport with HID option to 34.000 euro's...
That's nearly $43,000! The BPM alone is over $10,000. Holy high tax rate, Batman!

Welcome to the other side of the world. Different over here, ain't it?
And you wonder why we give you grief when you complain about gas being more than $3! Ours is equivalent to $6-8.50 (approx.) depending on which country your in.

Yup, don't even get started about the gas prices... It's funny though that we've kinda gotten used to paying these ridiculous prices for our cars and fuel. It's not like we're driving any less though... We just have to put up with it...

Xanctus : Leuk weer eens een nederlander te zien hier... Dank voor het compliment (je hoeft geen meneer te zeggen, hoor ) Bevalt het in New Zealand ?

BTW, those Euro Accords with the smaller wheels look decidedly wimpy.... but your rims look great!
The stockies look wimpie indeed... Over here the sport comes standard on 16" alloys.. My poor old CG trade-in now has them on and I had these put on the new car. The stock base model (comfort) comes on 16" steelies with wheelcaps
Only good thing is you do not have to pursuade your wife too much to get some nice rims afterwards
