My '06 TSX Shopping/Mod List(HELP!)

Dear Fellow Community Members,

I need some help editting my shopping list/mod list for my '06 CGP/EB TSX...

This is what I have in mind so far(The list is in order of what I want to buy first to last):

1. Tinted Windows

2. 18" Rims --- Need some suggestions

3. OEM Underbody Spoiler Kit

4.5. Mugen(sp?) Grill

4. OEM Rear Spoiler

5. Lowering Kit (??? --- Don't know if I want to do this or not... it has to do with speedbumps)

6. Cat-back Exhaust

7. Hondata I know this wont be for a while...

8. All of your suggestions...

TIA

I would put the coilovers higher up.

Definitely do the short-shifter.

You shouldn't have to worry about speed bumps. I'm lowered with the Underbody kit and I have no problems. The only problem may be if you were lowered, didn't have the underbody kit and you had mud guards.

If you're going with the sporty look, spoked wheels are the best.

Definately, I think the lowering part of the car should be a #1. Might consider getting an intake and headers later done the line. And with the kit, maybe Rockblocker for the front end if you live in area with a lot of rock-chips etc

I love the way a car looks lowered but how much does it affect the smoothness ride? Is there any kind of compromise? Until a turbo comes out for this car I'm not really into a hard suspension. Just want that dropped sleek look. like the car from Big O.

Your Revised List looks about the same as the top one~!!!

Anyways, I'm planning to do some mods on my 05AT after the winter, and in fact, the mod list in my mind is very very similar to yours, except the OEM Body Kit~ However, I would have RSB, Cat-Back Exhaust, Random High-flow Cat, CAI and Hondata behind the Tinted Windows. Afterward that work on the body.

I personally prefer the jdm euro-R kit over the OEM kit

also, the foglights look damn good with a kit on

I also got my 05 tsx (milano red) recently (a month ago) and we have similar upgrade paths.

So far, this is what i have done, in the exact order:

1.) 35% tint in the front, 20% in the back

2.) Tien SS (installed)

3.) Ingall Rear camber kit (installed)

4.) Alignment

5.) Progress RSB (installed)

6.) 18 x 8 Buddy Club P1 in bronze and Falken tires (still waiting for them to arrive)

this completes "stage I" of my upgrades

stage II consists the cosmetics:

7.) Full Euro R kit

8.) Euro R front grille + hood trim

9.) Euro R and Honda Emblems

10.) Honda Steering Wheel Airbag cover

stage III adds some juice:

11.) Comptech header

12.) Random Tech high flow cat

13.) Cat-back exhaust

14.) Hondata

10. Honda Badges

I just went through some of this recently; here are my findings…

1. For whatever reason this car really is enhanced by tinted windows

2. Do the full suspension upgrades – you will be amazed at how well the TSX can handle, corners like it is on rails.

3. After step #2 you will discover how incredibly lame the OEM Michelin tires truly are so count on doing the tires and wheels as a result.

4. After you have finished step #3 and adjusted to the new height and stance of the TSX, seriously ponder if you really think you still need the spoiler package.

5. If you live where I live buy winter alloys and snow tires and be thankful you did not proceed with step #4

6. Good Luck.

RSB should be #1. Cheapest and best bang for the buck. Make sure if you do Comptech, that you also go with Comptech exhaust as other exhausts won't fit with the comptech.
Also, clear bra if you're so inclined. Paint on the TSX scratches way easy.

My list so far has been:
1. OEM Underbody Kit
2. Clear Bra
3. Comptech Rear Sway Bar
4. Tanabe Sustec Coilovers + Ingalls Camber Kit
5. (future) iPod hookup (Acura MusicLink when it comes out)
6. (future) 35% Tinting all around
7. (future) Rims + Tires
8. (future) Hondata + Injen CAI + Comptech Header in one shot.
9. (future) Concealed Sub/Amp + Speaker Upgrade
10. (future) Tanabe Grand Touring Exhaust + Progress RSB
