Mugen rear spoiler

Mugen rear spoiler
Mugen site appears to show a rear lip-type trunk mounted spoiler. Anyone have any other info? Where/how does one get one? Composition? Cost? Other pictures? Looks like a three piece unit. Anyone able to comment on Mugen's products in general as I'm new to Japanese cars.

This is the only distributor of Mugen products here in the States. Your best bet in finding this spoiler and information on it is from them. And I would say that Mugen parts are on par, some of the best aftermarket stuff for Hondas. I would think so considering it was Soichiro Honda's son that founded the company.

I tried to get information from King Motorsports on this some time ago and they didn't have any info at that time. Be sure to post if you find anything out because I want one.

Mugen is probably one of the best known Honda aftermarket companies. They have had a partnership with Honda in racing for years. As far as quality/fitment on performance parts, it is A+. Mugen tests all their body kits/spoilers in a windtunnel, so I'm sure there is SOME kind of performance value instead of straight up aesthetic value.
I would have to assume that the spoiler is made of VERY strong plastic. As for the price of Mugen products... Prepare to sell your organs...

So Mugen is pretty good eh? I checked the web site, it looks like they just released their first TSX specific product with more to come. Their suspension is pretty interesting, more sporty than stock and lowers the car 25 mm. Is that a lot? I think the TSX should be lower but I don't know if 25mm is too much. I'm such a noob when it comes to mods. I have no clue.

wow so the pricing on the mugen aero parts are out. the spoiler is at a steep 540. that is probably before shipping and that will most likely not include paint

I'm assuming if anyone makes a fiberglass copy of this spoiler, it will be priced around $250-$300 anyways. Add paint for $100-$150 and you're looking at up to $450. So try $540 + $150 which comes to about $700. Would I pay $300 more for the real thing? Tough question because I have had a good experience with Mugen 'replica' parts on my Prelude (Full kit and spoiler).
But I would honestly have to say I would go for the real deal. Although my Mugen replica parts on my Prelude looked great, under close scrutiny, you could tell a world of a difference in fit, finish, quality, and durability compared to the real thing.

Well it isn't made of gold, I'll tell you that much. My educated guess is that it's made out of ABS plastic? Strength to weight, better than fiberglass when used for a spoiler. The mugen replica i had on my prelude was fiberglass, and eventually there was a hairline crack at the seam.
