Mounting Oracle Halo Ballasts

I just got my headlights back from AAC with halos installed. I didn't wire them yet. I can handle the wiring myself. But I need to ask the following questions to someone who has done this.

1) where do I mount the ballasts?

2) Can the ballasts withstand the heat that occurs behind the headlights from the engine, radiator, headlights, etc? I'm guessing they are pretty impervious to heat, but I want to ask anyway to be extra safe.

Thanks

I just attached it to the headlight itself with double-sided tape. But more importantly, seal the wiring and ballasts as best as you can. I've had so much trouble with them getting wet when it rains. Eventually, I sealed everything with electrical tape, grease, and silicon. And make sure the headlight casing itself is sealed well - mine ended up separating and water flooded the headlight....

Yup, bad experience with AAC. Ah well. Good luck to you man.

When the ballasts get wet, do they work again after they dry?
Or does the rain completely ruin them?

Also, what did AAC do to fix your headlights? Was it their fault?

Nah, the inverters (or ballasts?) should work after they dry. I asked Dan from AAC, who's a pleasure to work with, and he told me to just blow out the inverters. I haven't sent my headlights back for anything - pretty much did everything myself after asking Dan what to do.

But as far as having them reseal my headlights.. meh. I'm thinking about doing it myself. I'm not too fond of AAC's work quality, lol. And yes, it's all their fault, but they cover it under their life-time warranty.
