...more thoughts on the Mazda6

Last night my son and I both attended the unveiling of the new TL here in Victoria and we drove a Mazda6 to the event, parked down the street where nobody would notice, we still have the use of this M6 for a couple more days, as I explained in an earlier thread we swapped it for my wife's Odyssey for a week and she didn't want to drive it. It has given me an opportunity to make some comparisons with the TSX and my other Acura/Honda vehicles.
The most glaring thing that annoys me about the M6 is its jiggly ride, each and every little road imperfection is telegraphed directly to my spine through the firm seats in this thing, and that raises another point, the seats are vastly more comfortable in the TSX, at least to my physiology. I don't care for the livid red dash lighting, on my EL the lighting was a soft warm orangy-red, not bright blood red, the lighting in the TSX and the new TL is sooo much nicer to live with.
As for the exterior, I wouldn't want one of these, it does absolutely nothing for me, no "soul stirring", when I look at the TSX or TL I enjoy what I'm seeing.
Asked about the power difference, yeah, the 6 has power, but it isn't delivered smoothly, if you ease on the gas, as you might if you want good gas mileage, it seems jeky, if you really give it the gas it excelerates more smoothly. The brakes on the 6 are good, but I still think they feel grabby, I don't have a problem with the brakes in the TSX, they feel and act ok to me, I know some have had issues with the TSX' brakes, but I'm not one of them.
I just can't get past the overall impression that the 6 feels somewhat detached from the driving experience, whereas the TSX gives me the driving pleasure I'm acustomed to from my previous Acura and Honda products...I won't miss the M6 when they come to get it.

Hmmm firm seats in the M6? Wow, I thought they were too soft! Not anywhere near as nice as the TSX though.
