More Metal Trim

Is there anyway to make the third spoke on the steering wheel, the one at the bottom, have that metal look. There is just the black plastic over it and i think it would look better if it matched the rest of the wheel with the metal.

I asked that same question about month or so ago. Never got and answer. I looked at the Euro spec for options and nothing was ever mentioned in the FULL EURO metal kit (it has a few more pieces than what we get here) about that one particular piece.

Don't you guys notice there is a reason there is not a metal piece there?

Look at the steering wheel in relation to the rest of the dash. Notice how the two silver pieces line up with the silver trim on the dash? There are there to add to the flow of the silver line. Adding silver to that bottom area would break up that continuity, visually it would look like a silver dot out by it's self.

Of course, this whole idea of flow and balance is shot to hell if you have the silver trim kit, because everything at that point is silver then.

Good point... never looked at it that way. I just simply noticed that a piece looked like it belonged there.

I like the comment on the additional trim kit elements looking crazy!!!

Not only crazy, but they are just overpriced stickers... now if someone came up with a full replacement set for all of the pieces, that could look smooth

Exactly...The TSX "sticker" in the centre console does cheapen the look of the car...but it makes a wicked Avatar...

P.S. Off topic...if you wanna see pics of me, just on the album entitled Nat Nat

I'm not sure this is really "performance" related so I'm moving it to Car Talk.

I totally agree...to much metal. The metal sticker sheet or whatever its called doesn't lay over the current console nicely. It looks raised and the buttons seem surpressed below the sticker. IMHO its not my cup of tea.

You mean the die-cast model? You can get that on eBay or order direct from EBBRO.com...

Over all, if the price came down on the metal trim, I'd get it...although I'd do without all the metal peices on the centre console.
