Mobile Guardian vs Lo Jack

I just got my '06 CGP 5AT w/Nav 3 days, ago, my mom got her ASM 5AT w/Nav (in California) tonight...her dealer sold her on Mobile Guardian for about $500...they said it was better.
Does anybody have any experience or recommendations?

I personally wouldn't get a lo-jack or similar transponder device on a TSX for a number of reasons:
- While not theft-proof, the immobilizer is difficult to get around
- Unless it's early warning lojack, some of the most amateur thieves have learned their way around it
- Currently, the TSX isn't a must-steal commodity like the DC2 Integras. They are much more difficult to swap into a $2 Civic compared to the old B-series motors.
- Cost vs. paying a deductable

FYI, my auto insurance premium after getting the LoJack added to my car was $35/yr less.

I never heard of mobile guardian before (dealers here only offer lojack). Their website makes it sound like it's a good idea (you can track down your own car), but I don't know if the cops would have access to it. You might have to direct them lol.

Hmm, if I had any teenage drivers, I'd install it so I could watch where they go lol

Yeah, the thing I like about it is, it's always on and I can track it - not just the cops (when I call them). I haven't installed it yet, but it seems like a good idea, I just don't know why it's not caught on...wondering if anyone has knowledge of it???
