Hey guys interested in your CITY miles when your fuel meter is at half way point....

I just want to do a comparison among city drivers. Yes i know there are many variables but i just want to make sure im getting close to what everyone else is getting.

Around 165 when doing strictly city.

Somewhere around 225 usually. Once I get past halfway, it seems that the needle moves faster.

not sure about halfway point, but my light usually goes off around 280ish. I drive about 95% city due to my 2 mile commute to work.

I live 4 miles from work, and it's 100% city driving. I think I get around to 220 miles before my low fuel light goes on.

As for the mileage at halfway...it's hard to say. I've noticed that the needle goes from half-way to empty much, much faster than it does when it goes from full to half-way. I'll have to check my mileage next time.

My car only has 1200 miles though...and I heard that fuel economy increases at around 3k miles....

SoCal - yea.. my fuel light used to go off 250-260 area the first 5k miles or so. I'm at about 7k now, and i notice an increase in mileage. Long Road trip to LA this week, gonna try for the 500 club.

I do mostly city driving and get to half way point at about 165. I haven't let it get to the fuel light yet. Only had the car 3 weeks.

165-170 miles (about 270km +/- 30km I'd average it to be). 50/50 highway/city, heavy foot.
