It looks like some rain will pass through in the morning, but by the time ALMS starts to race, it will be sunny. The high temp will be 63, but will feel like 58. That's actually a great temp for watching the races.

Hopefully no highway video. Didn't know if you were tapping that little run or not.

BTW, we ended up finding out the TSX with RT Cat, CT Header, CT cat back can hang with an 2006 Accord V6 6MT too. Not going to say how I know, just going to say I do know.

I serious doubt CKcentral got that one.

I also found out that he's got more pull from 60mph and up. Go figure.

So he can pull on you?
What year/transmission/mods does he have?

...And too bad you don't have that race on video.

It is a brand new 2006 Honda Accord V6 6MT. No mods except for tinted windows.

Again, off the line, it was dead even. He couldn't pull on me up to 80-90mph. But on the highway while at speed and then accelerating, he definitely had the torque, which is to be expected.

Oh, I know his stock tires and rev limiter had a little something to do with it.

Nope sorry i didnt get any highway video. If someone can think of a good mounting system for a Sony HandyCam then maybe we can get some of that action too.

The ALMS race was good, but this was definitely the highlight of the entire day, aside from the 5-6 full course yellows.

Now you know why we go see them in person. Mid-Ohio is a fantastic spectator course not to mention one of the most technical in the country. I gladly make the drive every time.

Damn...I wish I could have made it out for this race...

And why does RTR still have Eric Curran driving the RSX?

Eric drives an RSX in the Grand-Am cup series too, so he's pretty familiar with the set-up...

No, he now drives a Cobalt in Grand Am.

I'm assuming it is one more car he can drive in another series.

Oh sorry, well he drove the RSX in it last year. Also I'd bet there is little call for RTR to build yet another TSX, they have 3 and the 2 RSX's are already built and competitive. No need to waste time building yet another car. And the 2 RSX's are just hanging around so why not race them?

Plus they build that drift car, that takes up resources...

Maybe they should have built a V6 powered supercharged S2K for the GT class

The S2K is totally the wrong car for that "motorsport." They only broke it a couple of times. Just one more chance to get exposure to RTR. Why they don't start providing tuner services is beyond me, but they ought to think about it.

I hit Mid-Ohio, Elkhart Lake WI, and Laguna Seca all during last season.

The Laguna race was fricken cold when the sun set.

Speaking of WI, who in the Chicagoland area would be up for Elkhart Lake race in August?

I knew you'd be on here spouting off.

Okay, in defense of the Accord, I did hit the rev limiter in 3 gears i think (not even the mighty v-6 can make up for shitty driving), had an additional passenger (motor mouth doesn't make it easy to hear the engine), and forgot to turn off the A/C...but I was still surprised that I didn't gain on you until I hit at least 70. Okay, is that enough excuses?

You seemed a lot quicker off the line, although part of that was me spinning my stock tires, the accord really felt like a lard ass off the line. One of these days I'll run into you on our commute and we'll try again. Maybe by then i'll have learned when to shift.

Only stated what you told me. And I did mention your TOTALLY STOCK setup. I KNOW for a fact you could easily take me with new tires and a K&N filter. That Accord is a bada$$ and why do you think I'm always pushing you to mod it even a little??

I know, I'm just giving you crap. I would like to meet you on the highway with no passengers and no coolers spilling all over our trunks, just to see if the outcome is the same. I truly was surprised and impressed with the way the TSX drove out.

dragulaz, see I said hanging... not bragging. It took +$2000 just to hang with your Accord from a dead stop.

$500 CT Headers
$800 CT Cat back
$300 RT Cat
$400 ES100 225/45-17s
$30 K&N Filter

Nothing can beat a loaded V6 Accord pulling up in your rearview mirror, knowing it was loaded to make you rethink your purchase just a little.

I'll have video of that when it happens!!! That would be awesome to see in person. Funny part would be seeing Mrs. dragulaz taking that to the grocery store.
