metal rubbing noise in reverse

I'm at 49k miles and I'm hearing a noise like metal is rubbing on something when going in reverse. Sounds like the clutch is rubbing against something. Only in reverse though.

any ideas?

Check your brake pad wear indicators. The rear pads are much smaller than the fornts, and might wear out sooner.

One possible idea...maybe the exhaust system is shifting out of normal position when your engine moves in its mounts, so the exhaust system rubs against the underside. I guess check if the exhaust system is attached well? Check the heat shields?

As Colin said, almost surely brake wear indicators. Either front or rear.
