Yep did it to my old corolla

Is easy enough to do I spose, just take your time and be careful with clips.

Easy way to attach the mesh is to glue screw lugs that you put into brickwalls to you bumper, out of site obviously, and then just screw the mesh to that.

Get yourself a good pair of tinsnips too, as clean cuts look so much better!!

Bumper removed:

Rear view, underneath the black leci tape is the little screw lugs that I have glued on

Partly Done. Just screw the mesh into the lugs and its all done

Finished Product

this DIY mod can look good, but 90% of the ones I see look like crap. Spend sometime finding mesh that will look good.

Hmmm...Looks like a tough DIY project
Intake on TSX bumper is pretty "deep"...so if you just place the mesh on the opening on the BACK...you can hardly see it.

Lexus IS 300 will be the example to follow.

They come in silver or powder coated black. you can also get fog light grilles in silver or powder coated black. Check ebay. Not all listings may always be available. And despite what Jay said, no, he does NOT do it for a living. It's just to benefit fellow club members.

I think the mesh would look much better if they were black.

mine is black. my car is black. the mesh blends in very nicely, almost looks stock.

Also, yes, it catches a lot more bugs than i thought it would. I just wash the front and the come right off. no maintenance at all. the clips hold it in very securely.

I was wondering if you can recommend any front grills that are easy to install. I can't find anything on ebay.

Try making your own. I did. It was cheap and simple. Check out this thread:

Too much work??? To make a pattern, cut it out and install? Took me an hour. But to each their own.

Contact Peregrine on the other TSX forum. If you have an 04-05 TSX, he can do one for you. That's those grilles that used to be available on ebay.
