Maintenance Required light at 10k miles

Maintenance Required light at 10k miles
I just noticed that my Maintenance Required light when around 10006 miles. I'm hoping/presuming that it's programmed to go on at 10,000 miles and not that something is actually wrong with the car. Anyone else have any details?

Never never never drive above 50 MPH with the Maintenance light on...
