Looking for a TSX for sale, prices
I have a 2006 MDX that I love and 4 weeks ago I have a car accident with my volvo s40, it was total. I have been looking since then to buy 2007 TSX with less than 30,000 miles. I have been dealing with the worst dealers in Houston, dishonest people. I am almost ready to give up and buy another volvo. But before doing that, do you guys think that I can get a TSX for anyithing around $18K to $19.5 k? Have any of you boght a car online? There are several tsx in a dealer called paradigm acura, but I read online and they have vrey bad reviews. Do you guys think that I am simply not going to find the car that I am looking for?

The 1st gen TSX is rare and holds its value well. For a 2006-2007, I think you can expect to pay around $21,000 to $24,000 at a dealer for a car with 50k miles and about 2,500 - 4,000 less for a private sale -- if you can find one! I did a search at edmunds for a 2006-2007 model within 100 miles of Houston and it returned only one; a red one with ~ 46,000 miles for ~ $20,500 list at a dealership.
Another Volvo would be the easy choice. What kind of maintenance cost did you incur with the S40? The TSX has a remarkable record for high reliability and low maintenance cost -- as well as low total ownership cost.

Well I never spend one dime on the volvo, it was an s40 limited sport edition 2004. I am looking right now at a c30 for $19,900. Las week I almost bought a tsx for $19900 but finally the dealer was a little dishonest. On friday I found another tsx with 22K Miles and for $20,200 I was in my way to buy it on saturday morning and the guy from the dealer called me to let me know that it was sold.
That is why I am a little frustrated.
Thanks Jim

I can feel it, The dealer emailed me with the final offer of $19k for 23k with Navi TSX, n when i emailed back saying i will pick it up in the evening, after 10 mins got a reply back saying the other sales guy already sold it.
Well then luckily he had a fresh trade in of a TL, with 16kmiles got that for $21k which I think was good price for the upgrade.

Time and patience is the key when shopping around for a used car of a specific model. If time is a constrain then you can expand the search by looking at some postings abt 100 - 200 miles or you can also consider TL, like what I did. Its a nice car too!

TLs would be a good choice because you would not be giving up much in gas mileage, more room, a few extra luxury touches, and the price will be about $500-$1500 of the TSX depending on year/mileage.
Have you thought about a 07 RDX? The RDX has everything the TSX has and plus a few more:
- turbo engine,
- more space,
- back up camera
- better stereo
- better visibility while driving
- more up to date interior
- much higher fun to drive factor with SH-AWD and turbo engine
An 07 RDX without tech should be in the same ball park as the 07/08 TSX or 06/07 TL depending on private or dealer sell. An 07 RDX with the the $300 Hondata reflash equals on of the best bang for the buck/fun to drive cars in Acura's line-up.

Thank you guys for the help. Yes I have considered any acura, I am using cars.com I do have a price constrain that is 19,900 just because I saw some tsx for that price the problem is that they sell very fast and there are not too many. I just found a tl with 30K miles for $21 K. It is still a little expensive for what I was looking.

Oh no way, you still can easily bargain! Internet price is just a bait there is still more you can bite
Just go there test drive the car and if everything is per your satisfaction offer your price, sure they will dance on your tunes if u play it right.
The TL I bought, was listed at $23,999 They were already ready to go $2k low, I offered them $20,500 and they got back at $21.
Also check autotrader.com...

You have practically no bargaining room on a 1 gen TSX because they are rare. But, for a TL or RDX do your homework and then decide the price you are willing to pay and make an offer. Expect either "no thanks" or a "counter offer".
For a TSX, look for a private sale within 500 miles and think "airline ticket" -- or "long drive with a buddy". Don't send any deposit until you talk with the seller on the phone, have his phone number, and are comfortable. Then, $50-$100 should hold the car for 5 to 10 days.
Look at the gas mileage on an RDX before you seriously consider one. Don't be fooled by the 4 cylinders.
It could easily take 6-12 months to find a good deal on a 1 gen TSX. Good deals on a TL are easier to come by; but they are a completely different animal. The TL Type S is closest, but also rare. But, the S40 is even closer.

Where are you located? I bought my 05 TSX back in october for 15,995 with 34,000 miles on it, perfect condition. I traded it in for my TL in May and I know for a fact it's still there, now with 40,000 miles on it. They're asking 15.9 for it I know.

I am in Houston TX.
I have seen a couple of RDX but the miles per galon are to low. I went to look at a couple of TL but they were not in a geat shape. I think I finally found my diamond, it is a 2008 TSX silver with light gray interior. It has 18,000 Miles and the last offer from the dealer was $20,800 what I think is already a good price, I am going to try to offer a little bit less and buy it tomorrow. Wish me luck.
I will post pictures as soon as I get it.
