Looking to buy a high mileage TSX, any suggestions/warnings!?

So I am going to look at 2 Tsx tomorrow. Both manuals. One has 137K miles and the other has 87K miles. I have always owned hondas although I want to know if there is anything specific I should look for in the TSX, that may need replaced at this point in time!

Thanks in advance!!

Jay

Well, just one note of advice, then. I'd stay away from '04s because they have A/C and printed circuit board issues which are very costly to repair out of warranty. Good luck with your purchase.

Wow, I'd stay away from the 137K one, wtf, that's too many miles for even a 2004 TSX.

I agree way too many miles. If you can go with 05 or up. A CPO would be a good one to get.
Good Luck!

The upside of buying a car with 137k over 4 or 5 years is the miles have to be mostly freeway easy miles. If you are short on cash and a good negotiator, you should be able to get a great deal on the car. Remember too, the Holidays are the slowest time for used car sales, not many people are buying used cars with Christmas around the corner and even less are giving them as presents.

FWIW, I have 100k on my TSX now (just rolled over last week, d'oh...) -- zero problems with AC or circuit board or whatever ... original clutch (6MT).

Have to agree....I don't have that many miles on my '04, but so far no issues either (except a few rattles).

As for the OP, I'd be most concerned about the clutch on a high mileage M/T.
