I locked myself out of the car before not my TSX, What i did was called the cops they came over ask me for my info and everything make sure it's not stolen or anything. Then they just jimmy the door open for me.

^that's the typical way, but I noticed with our car and other Acuras is that there is a high chance of them damaging the window trim.

There is a way to unlock your car via cellphone. It sounds crazy, but if u lock yourself out of the car and u know of someone that has access to your spare all u have to do is have the person take the remote and press the unlock button(while having you on the phone) and then u in return place the phone close to the infrared receiver and the signal will go thru the phones and unlock the car. I know this sounds far fetched, but Ive seen it with my own eyes before and almost sh!t myself when the car unlocked. Give it a try!

I could never get this to work (is there a trick?). I'm pretty sure that our remotes use radio frequencies, and I don't see that passing through a cell phone very easily.

Granted, I've never tried it with my TSX, but I've tried it with other vehicles and didn't have any luck.

The fob uses RF not IR to unlock the car. These are different frequencies than are used by the cell phone or transmitted by the phone. This is not phyically possible.

I would be interested to know how this was done. Did you just rock the car untill the keys fell out the bottom?

rofl @ responses.

locking keys under hood=no no.

there is a less damaging way to get the hood popped without jimmying the window.

How about posting it....

Let's face it, you aren't the only one in the world to get a TSX open without a key.

Besides, I haven't locked/closed a thread in a while and my trigger finger is getting very touchy.
